Casino night!

Have you bought your tickets yet? Great prizes, great fun, great people, and a great cause!

The Vineland Library Foundation is holding a “Casino Night” at Vineland Public Library on Friday, April 29 from 7:00 – 11:00 p.m. The cost of this fund-raiser is $40 a ticket with all proceeds going to the library. Included in the price is $25 in play money for casino games, an hors d’oeuvres buffet, four hours of play at Blackjack, craps, roulette, poker and other games, plus a chance to win prizes including a 42” flat screen TV.

Throughout the evening, a jazz trio will be playing and there will be a 50/50 raffle. A cash bar will be available. The dealers are all licensed professionals who will be happy to teach you how to play the games. The Foundation would like people to come to the library – eat, drink, socialize, win a prize and help the library. Tickets are available at the library. From the American Library Association-National Library Workers Day:

Vineland Library Staff, from a(n) public library in Vineland, New Jersey, is a Star because In the last two years, facing ever-decreasing funding, loss of staff postions, the loss of our beloved regional library, and the loss of half of our state aid, the staff of the Vineland Public Library have developed creative and sustainable ways to raise additional income to supplement the diminished materials budget, created an agressive and much-needed ESL program partnered with community volunteers, and continued to offer a wonderful array of programs for children and adults. Each and every one of them is a STAR!  Nominee is the Entire Staff.  Thanks to Gloria for this nomination.
