Local author Safiyah Givens will be signing copies of her book She Speaks
at the library.
She Speaks is a non-fiction
collection of inspiring poetry about the author’s life and the
life experiences of others. According to Givens, “speaking up…can
open doors of healing”, and her book offers encouragement for
those who find themselves in difficult situations.
The book signing
will take place on Saturday, November 8 from 2:00– 4:30 p.m. in
the library lobby. The cost of each book is $10.00; however, this is
a free event, and registration is not required.
