Indie Author Day Tomorrow At Noon!!

Indie Author Day!

Are you a writer? Have you considered self-publishing? Do you wish you could ask a fellow writer about their publishing process?
Date: Saturday, October 8th
Time:  12:00 to 3:00 p.m.
Place: Doris Tripp Memorial Room & Children's Department

Vineland Public Library is participating in the first Indie Author Day! We will be joining libraries across North America bringing local writing communities together in their libraries to participate in author panels, book readings and signings, workshops, presentations and more. The Vineland Public Library will be hosting tables for small press publishers and local self-published authors, where community members young and old are encouraged to talk to them about their book(s) and their self-publishing journey. Copies of books may be available for purchase and signing by the author - just in time for upcoming holiday gift-giving. Prices will vary.

Attendees will include: Denise Hazelwood, author; Kathy Ross, Pagaent Wagon Publishing; Jo Denise Muller, children’s author and Buddy the Chihuahua; Eloise Sulzman, children’s author; Ewart Rouse, author; Carolyn Williams, Africana Homestead Legacy Publishers.

Last Session of Memoir Writing Workshop Tomorrow!

Memoir Writing Workshop
@ Vineland Public Library
What’s your story?
Ordinary people have the most extraordinary lives. We all have a story to tell, and now is the time to tell it. The Vineland Library Summer Memoir Class will help you take those memories, reflections, and realizations and bring them to life. Get ready to dig deep, as we will be planting those seeds of personal experience and watching them grow and develop into engaging pieces. Over the course of three Fridays in July, we will be working on the creation of these stories, as well as using techniques to hone rich description and dialogue. All are welcome, whether you have never written before, or have been writing your entire life. We will start fresh and build throughout the class, so no level of expertise is necessary – we are simply looking for people who have a story burning inside and want to stoke the fire. If that’s you, join us this July!

Friday July 22nd
11:00 a.m.—1:00p.m. in the Community Event Room
This free event is sponsored by the Friends of the Vineland Public Library.
Class size is limited and registration is required.
Please call 856-794-4244 ext: 4243 to register.
