VHS Student Art Show Tomorrow!

Vineland High School Student Art Exhibit

The annual Vineland High School Student Art Exhibit is being featured at the Vineland Public Library during the month of May. Student artists will display their work in a variety of media including oils, acrylics, watercolors, pastels, pencil, pen & ink, air brush, printing, photography, sculpture and pottery. A reception to meet the artists and their teachers will be held on:

Time: 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
Location: Doris Tripp Memorial Room 

Awards will be given for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place and honorable mentions in all media during the reception. Refreshments will be served in the Doris Tripp Memorial Room and the Community Event Room.

The Art Exhibit is an annual event to offer the community an opportunity to see the artistic talent of Vineland High School students. It is arranged by the Vineland High School Fine Arts Department. This
event provides students with the satisfaction of seeing their work displayed and helps prepare those going on to art school.

Are you a fan of The Walking Dead? Are you fascinated by all things zombie? Do you wish you had a place to discuss the show, share predictions, frustrations, and/or hopes for characters’ futures? 
When: Tomorrow, April 4
Time: 6:00-7:00pm
Where: Community Event Room


Join the Biters’ Banter Club, a new program offered by the library. The first meeting will take place on Monday, April 4 from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the library’s Community Event Room, located on the first floor of the library. Library staff will be on hand to discuss details of the new season, characters, and possible plot twists with audience participation.

This program is for adults at least 18 years old. Registration is not required and walk-ins are welcome!

Healthy Eating

Healthy Eating Program!

Are you ready to get healthy? Do you want your New Year's resolution to finally work? Join us for a healthy eating program, hosted by Jenna M. Gavigan, a dietician from Bottino's ShopRite of Delsea. This free event is sponsored by the Friends of Vineland Public Library.

When: Tuesday, March 15
Time: 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.
    Where: Community Event Room
 
The healthy eating program will focus on selecting foods that support optimal health and how to prepare healthy meals. After the program, participants will be invited to a question and answer session. They will also have the opportunity to sample free, healthy snacks. 
 
Registration is not required for this free program. Walk-ins welcome! For additional information, please call the Adult Services Department at (856) 794 – 4244 ext. 4243.

The Vineland Public Library is partnering with ShopRite for a healthy eating  event.  Come learn about nutrition with Jenna Gavigan, Registered Dietitian from Bottino’s ShopRite of Delsea, and enjoy a fun “snack-tivity” while getting tips on making healthy food choices.
