VHS Poetry Slam Club Performance

The Vineland High School poetry slam club, together with students in Christine Lewis' poetry slam classes, will be performing this Wednesday, March 9 from 5:30-7pm at the Vineland Public Library, 1058 E. Landis Ave. The program is free to the public. Content of some poems may be mature, so it is recommended only older children attend. Poetry Slam is a form of performance poetry where students write original pieces and then act them out behind a microphone.

Preschool Story Time!

 
Children ages 3-5 and their parents/caregivers are invited to the Vineland Public Library for Preschool Story Time.  Participants will enjoy stories, songs and crafts.

The Stages Festival Presents: Peter and The Wolf!

When: Tuesday March 8

New Jersey Theatre Alliance presents Pushcart Players’ production of Peter and the Wolf on March 8, from 6 to 7 p.m. This event is part of the Alliance’s Stages Festival, the state’s largest annual theatre festival that provides free and discounted theatre events for all ages throughout the month of March. This event is free.
 

Pushcart puts its trademark spin on a beloved Russian folktale. Classical music, storytelling, puppetry and the ageless adventure of growing up comprise this masterpiece. A different instrument and melody represents each character in this adventure about a spirited young boy who goes off to capture a wolf.

Vineland Library's Community Day!
 
Vineland is home to many unique organizations that strive to meet the diverse needs of the population on a regular basis.  In an effort to showcase these agencies and call attention to the resources they provide, Vineland Public Library is hosting its first annual Community Day!

Where: Community Event Room & Doris Tripp Memorial Room
 
During this free event, local organizations will be on hand to answer questions and provide information. This is the perfect program for new residents of Vineland as well as for those who simply wish to learn more about what our great community has to offer.

Are you a fan of The Walking Dead? Are you fascinated by all things zombie? Do you wish you had a place to discuss the show, share predictions, frustrations, and/or hopes for characters’ futures?

Where: Community Event Room


Join the Biters’ Banter Club, a new program offered by the library. The first meeting will take place on Monday, March 7 from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the library’s Community Event Room, located on the first floor of the library. Library staff will be on hand to discuss details of the new season, characters, and possible plot twists with audience participation.

This program is for adults at least 18 years old. Registration is not required and walk-ins are welcome!

Art Reception for Robert O. Carman

During the month of March, Vineland Public Library, 1058 E. Landis Avenue, is featuring an art exhibit by local artist Robert O. Carman. The watercolor exhibit, titled New Boats, Barns, Beacons, and more! will be displayed on the first floor of the library in the Doris Tripp Memorial Room. A reception for the exhibit will be held on Saturday, March 5 from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.
