The Walking Dead Discussion this Monday!


Attention: The Walking Dead Fans 

Want to sit down and chat about the show, share predictions, frustrations, hopes for characters’ futures?  Then come join us for:

Biter’s Banter
Date: Monday, April 3rd
 Time: 6:00-7:00pm
Where: Community Event Room

Library staff will be on hand to discuss details of the new season, characters, and possible plot twists with audience participation.

Self Defense Class Tomorrow Morning!

Self-Defense for Women and Girls

Do you worry about your personal safety? Do you wish you had the opportunity to learn how to defend yourself against an attack? 
 
Date: On Saturday, October 8th
Time: 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Place: Community Event Room 
 
Renowned Black Belt Instructor Walter Miller will show women and girls easy to learn moves to protect yourself from street attacks and personal assaults.
Dress comfortably. Appropriate for all ages.

Meditation Stress Management for Teens!

When: Wednesday, March 30
 Time: 5:00 - 6:30 p.m.
Where: Community Event Room
 
Join library volunteer Mary Ann Coulter for a three-part series on learning how to de-stress and control your breathing anywhere. Understand what stress is and how Mindfulness Meditation can help you handle it.

Meditation practices you’ll learn include proper breathing, slow movement, sitting, listening and muscle relaxation. Most techniques will be done while sitting, so bring a dense, firm cushion or towel with you if you prefer sitting on the floor rather than in a chair.

Registration is required for this free program. It is most beneficial, but not required, to attend all three sessions.

Children ages 6-8 are invited to a book discussion at the Vineland Public Library. The book to be discussed is The Day Jimmy's Boa Ate the Wash by Trinka Hakes Noble.

Registration is required. Participants will receive a free copy of the book to be discussed while supplies last. Books are available in the Children's Department. Children ages 10 and younger and their families are invited to the Vineland Public Library for a Family Story Night celebrating Spring. Participants will enjoy stories read by students in the Rossi Middle School Junior Honor Society and make a craft.
